Series 300 switches are highly defeat-resistant non-contact safety interlocks. Each switch uses multiple reed switches and actuators are custom matched through a patented process. These matched sets ensure that the safety interlock switch cannot be defeated with materials and tools normally found in the work place.
For added protection, Series 300 switches will not actuate if the magnet is placed too close to the switch. This prevents the operator from overriding the safety interlock by removing the actuator from its mounting and attaching it to the switch. The switch will remain in the safety interlock mode and fail to release the opening or device it is protecting if this kind of override is attempted.
Series 300 switches are fully encapsulated in polyurethane to eliminate mechanical failure caused by wear or the build-up of foreign material. The Series 300 switches are used in applications that pose a significant risk of injury.
